Our Vision

Our vision for Tiny Acorns Nursery began when we submitted our tender for the lease back in 2008 and remains the same today. We want to provide a ‘personal’ nursery service that exceeds the expectations and needs of every family that comes to us: a welcoming and nurturing environment, where the children we look after grow and develop as individuals, spending many happy days in our care.

Our nursery operates on FIVE key principles:

–         Nurturing: a caring, homely environment where each child is able to develop and grow at their own pace

–         Welcoming: a bright, clean and well maintained environment that provides a fantastic range of activities and equipment, and great outside space and facilities

–         Stimulating: a well planned daily schedule that delivers against the latest Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines and requirements, focusing on encouraging each child’s natural development, social behaviour and good manners

–         Safe: stringent safety and risk assessment procedures coupled with effective safety measures

–         Open: where parents are kept well-informed about their child’s progress through

          • regular interaction with the staff and their child’s key worker

          • access to all the information about the nursery and their child’s individual development as required

          • regular newsletters and communication

Our Mission

Our Mission is to consistently deliver the highest standard of care through the adoption of these five principles. We are dedicated to making each child’s first experience of nursery school happy and stimulating. With the needs of each individual child foremost in our minds our approach is holistic, taking into account each child’s personality, interests, needs, family background, religion and culture. We believe that every child requires nursery care that is tailored to them as individuals, and that the children should be at the centre of everything we do.
